DIY Essential Oil Recipes for Men’s Care

Essential oils can be natural substitutes to your daily cologne fix, beard oil and even your favorite massage oil. Check out these DIY essential oil recipes for men’s care and grooming.

Cologne – musky and woodsy

You have grown tired of the overpowering scents of conventional colognes.

• 10 mL glass spray bottle/roll-on bottle to start off
• 2 tsp of Jojoba Oil as a base for your cologne
• 3 drops of Frankincense essential oil for its deep, smooth, sweet, balsamic aroma
• 4 drops of Lemon essential oil to add a fresh, citrus scent
• 1 drop of Lavender essential oil for a clean, floral top note
• 3 drops of Cedarwood essential oil for a woodsy finish
• 1 tsp of high proof vodka

*Shake gently and let the mixture sit for 4-5 days before first use.

DIY Beard Oil

You have been growing your beard religiously for some time now or are just beginning the process. Taking good care of your facial hair and skin is extremely important.

• 30 mL glass bottle with dropper
• 2 tsp of coconut and 2 tsp of almond oil as bases and excellent moisturizers
• 4 drops of Cedarwood essential oil to improve skin vitality
• 2 drops of Lavender essential oil to calm skin irritation
• 4 drops of Sandalwood essential oil as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agent

*Put lid on shake well before use.

Soothing Face Massage Oil

Before you go to bed, give your skin a relaxing massage to get the blood circulating using this DIY recipe.

• 30 mL glass bottle with dropper
• 2 tsp of rosehip carrier oil
• 4 drops of Peppermint essential oil for its cooling effects. Acts as a strong aid against acne
• 3 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil for its energizing and rejuvenating qualities
• 2 drops of Lavender essential oil for its calming and sedating effects
